Given the fluid nature of meeting guidelines during the pandemic, our Session monitors changes so that we can be compliant to CDC, state and local guidelines for churches.
This week, Governor Hogan issued an executive order that affects our congregational practices in a few ways. One, when we are outside, we are required to wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible. Two, whenever we are in the building, we are required by the Governor’s order to wear masks (adults and children ages 5 and up).
At present, we are unclear as to the exact repercussions of the order upon our ability to carry out vital functions of worship like singing and preaching indoors, so for now our plan is this:
- We will worship outside whenever possible
- In case of inclement weather on a given Sunday, we will have online worship only for that Sunday; notifications will be emailed and posted on social media by around 8 a.m. that morning.
Stay tuned for further information – sometimes the situation changes quickly.
We hope to see you on Sunday, outdoors at St. Andrew’s or online!
