Adult Discipleship & Fellowship

Spiritual growth in the form of discipleship and fellowship for our adult population, is one of the areas where St. Andrew’s shines.  We offer several ongoing ways for congregants, and visitors, to get involved, as well as seasonal and small group sessions. Here are some of the programs we’ve offered:

Faith & Fellowship Group
Meeting dates/times vary through the year depending on the study. See the weekly Loop for detailed information.

Monthly Men’s & Women’s Groups
Once a month. This offers our community a chance to enjoy the adult discipleship hour while also addressing the need for a monthly separate men’s and women’s ministry meeting.

Ed’s Story Group
A seven part short-film series entitled Ed’s Story. This moving story chronicles Pastor Ed Dobson’s journey with ALS and how he wrestled with some of the inevitable issues suffering raises: worry, identity, forgiveness, gratitude, and healing.  Emerging from it all is his discovery that there is always hope.  The format is a brief 10 minute video to be followed by a series of discussion questions related to the video.

Animate Group
A seven-week exploration of the power of Christian practices. Practices feature videos of noted Christian authors and speakers talking about big topics like Prayer, Community, and Sacraments in very relatable language.

Monthly All Church Potluck
After worship, we gather for a potluck by blessing the food and enjoying it! While we eat, you’ll hear a few updates on important developments from Session members and Deacons. Your chance to give feedback and input about our Church community.

Enneagram Series
An exploration of The Road Back To You by Ian Cron. The book introduces the Enneagram, a powerful tool for spiritual growth that helps us identify our unique strengths and challenges…and maps out a path for transformation, happiness, and a deeper connection with God and others. Sessions will include both small group discussion and live panel discussions with community members who have discovered where they fall along the Enneagram.  Meetings with potluck dinners will be held.

Alpha Marriage
This course is a series of sessions designed to help couples invest in their relationship and build a strong marriage.

Alpha Parenting Teen
The course was developed for parents and care-givers looking for practical support to strengthen their family relationships.  The course will help you to keep long term aim in mind, meet your teenager’s needs, set clear boundaries, develop emotional health and help them make good choices.

The Daniel Plan
This is a healthy lifestyle program founded on biblical principles and focused on the Essentials:  Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus and Friends.  The program offers an innovative approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle where people get better together by optimizing their health in each of these life areas.
